I was quite intrigued when a friend recommended this restaurant, informing me about their breakfast/lunch AND Vietnamese menu. I've never been to or heard of a Vietnamese family owned restaurant that cooks America breakfast. We stopped by around noon time on a Saturday before going to work (which was down the street.) There was one server in the whole place, but she was pleasant and attentive while serving everyone else by herself. I was disappointed they weren't serving a few Vietnamese dishes I was planning to order, so I settled for some fried chicken wings (with fries) and a side of hash browns. My friend ordered his usual sausage and egg sandwich which was great. We also ordered a bacon burger to go for a friend and it was "one of the best burgers" he ever had. For the price, quality of the food and service, I would definitely come back when I'm in the area. Only downside: street parking isn't fun in Chestnut Hill so you're lucky if there's a spot in front or on the same street! Otherwise, stop by for a quick bite and you won't be disappointed! For the ladies: the family owns a nail salon that is attached to the restaurant so... kill two birds with one stone.

Quick and easy breakfast place, delicious omelets and surprisingly good coffee. The staff is super friendly and creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Great use of feta in omelets.

Decent food for a great price! Good place for combos: eggs, pancakes, coffee. I didn't try the shakes but they look good. Also, I didn't love the french toast. That I wouldn't order again.

A breakfast place with bubble tea and egg rolls? Yes please. Any place where I can get pancakes and mango bubble tea is the place for me. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is incredibly delicious and fast, the menu is pretty big, and the prices are great. We came at around 2PM on a weekday and it was completely empty. We sat inside and ate, but from what I observed most people get things here to go. Some call it, but most sit and wait. The food is usually done for pick up in under 10 minutes.

I work right around the corner and I always order my breakfast from here . It is cash only but the food here is great ! I always get the four eggs and hash brown combo and I'm never disappointed . Some of the other girls have gotten their veggie burger and chicken fingers and have loved it as well . They are super friendly there . I would recommend coming here if you're in the area and want really affordable diner food

Chestnut Hill Restaurant is exactly what it says on the tin: from the plain green awning to the neon sign in the window proclaiming, "BREAKFAST - HOT OVEN SUBS", the exterior is humble and matter-of-fact. The interior, with its long counter, front-and-center griddle, and backlit menu on the wall, is similarly unpretentious. This is the most perfectly diner-y diner I've ever been to, with a casual, relaxed atmosphere inside, friendly and attentive staff, and, of course, BREAKFAST and HOT OVEN SUBS. The food here is nothing fancy, but it's plentiful and delicious and made just to order. Their menu is extensive and mostly beige, just as the diner gods intended. I haven't tried most things yet, but I can vouch for their omelets and pancakes as being top-notch and satisfying. What spurred me to finally write a review, however, was the bubble tea shake I just got from them. It's more like a bubble tea slushie, and it's large and sweet and perfect on this hot June day. Don't feel shy or apprehensive if the interior looks almost deserted-- most people order lunch out from here, so it tends to only look busy in the mornings. If you're looking for a no-frills, hearty diner meal served with a bubble tea and a smile, this is the place!

good breakfast /lunch diner they are open from 6am-3pm. run by a nice extended asian family who are very friendly. This is not a gourmet diner, if you are looking for a crab benny or decent hollandaise sauce this is not the joint. They serve basic breakfast and lunch. The diner is clean and the food is always fresh and quick. Smaller place with about 6-8 tables and a long diner style bar, no booths. Def recommend this for a hearty breakfast or a quick luch to go.
